The heavy politicisation of Covid in the US Elections is a key reason why we have our fingers crossed that things will calm down after November 3rd, whoever wins.

The US Election marks the passing of the Boomers, three of the last four US Presidents were born within two months of each other in 1946.

Last week we discussed how the Biden/ Harris ticket is actually the establishment proposition, a kind of ‘Blue Pill’ offered to the American people so that they can pretend that the world that Donald Trump has revealed doesn’t really exist.

The US Election is now a little over 2 months away and as traders and investors slowly return home from their holidays (or with undue haste if they are trying to get back to the UK) it will increasingly be the main focus of discussion.

Today’s announcements from China need to be seen in the context of the last two years of steadily intensifying interference in Chinese affairs by the US as part of the new Cold War.
